Last year Track n Trail hosted the inaugural running of the Jurassic 2 Day Rally. This year's rally event is going to cater for everyone, from absolute novice riders to the most seasoned racers and will suit every bike, from a big adventure bike to an enduro race machine. I’m sure this format surprises a lot of you, but we strongly believe that this format of racing is the future. It will combine the social and chilled-out atmosphere of our beloved Freeride days with the against-the-clock competitive thrill of racing the tests, as well as the sense of adventure from exploring the impressive Jurassic coast countryside on a motorcycle.
Classes:
We have a choice of 4 ability based classes to choose from. This enables us to ensure that you are only ever on track with riders of similar abilities. Also it allows us to tailor the millage, terrain difficulty as well as time on the bike.
All Classes are Suited to all bikes however its worth considering that the bigger the bike the more difficult and tiring it will be.
Novice: 80 miles including 4 special tests per day
Sportsman: (New for 2026) Runs on the same schedule as the Club class for day 1, then runs on the Novice schedule for Day 2
Clubman: 130 miles including 5 special tests per day
Experts: 140 Miles including 6 special tests per day (2 of which are back to back). Due to popular demand, the Saturday evening Supertest is back (Expert class only)
More About the Event
We are running through 4 of our venues with 3 main off road areas, Two Valleys is the main one with camping and Tenko which will host the largest timed special test for around 15 minutes and Marsh’s Farm will provide us with a long off road single track liaison section.
We are adding bits and pieces to this track all the time. It's a very exciting time to be running a rally in this area.
What about Refuelling?
The important thing to know is that as long as you've got a standard-sized enduro fuel tank, you will be fine. We are checking the track on a variety of bikes to check out fuel consumption to ensure you will all make it around.
Our Team
We have the perfect team for this event, our very own 25-year-old Ben Harvey Grounds as race director. Not many people know this, but in 2024 Ben finished right up at the sharp end in his rookie year of the British Rally championship, and he has won the 12-hour Dusk to Dawn twice and this year won the 24 hour solo class in his first attempt. As we write this Ben is on his way out to Qatar to race a round of the World Baja Championship. So Ben's got the speed and talent and lots of new ideas to bring to this rally.
Plus, you have his very experienced, if rather an old dinosaur, father, Mike Grounds, with over 21 years of running some of the most popular enduro events in the South. So he brings the practicality to balance some of Ben's enthusiastic ideas. Plus, we will of course be supported behind the scenes and throughout the weekend by all our wonderful team who work tirelessly for us all year. So that is our dream team….. Happy days, Happy Rally.

and highly recommended at this beautiful sheep farm in West Dorset DT2 9HD. Please bring your own water there will not be any supplied. There's a Greggs and petrol station in the local village and Tesco's in Dorchester is only a 10 minute drive.
