Many people in the sport said it could not be done but through massive drive and determination Track n Trail have secured the best venues in the south, probably the best timing system in the country and the most important thing, our members who are hugely supportive and friendly making our events so enjoyable.
Track n Trails goal is to put on events for everyone, making sure our club members are put first. We have always focussed on local, friendly competitions that are rideable for everyone. We occasionally get asked why we don’t put on British Championship events, this is because we focus on providing high quality events for our riders and believe in keeping our best venues open to everyone, not just for the elite riders. Having said that once a year we put on Destination Portland, which is rapidly being hailed as the ultimate in extreme event in the UK.
Our riders experience a vast number of venues, throughout the beautiful south, racing through forests tracks, climbing sandy hills , negotiating steep descents, meandering through woodland trails, fast open going with scramble tracks - in fact we use as wide a variety of wild terrain as humanly possible. Starting a week before any event, a huge amount of preparation is put into the design and layout of courses, including choices of routes to ensure enjoyable riding for all abilities.
We were the first organisation to be bold enough to run youth races for 10-16 year olds. We are still extremely passionate about and proud of our very successful and popular youth series. We have seen many of our youth riders’ progress to the adult races, dominating their classes.
Track n Trail try to ensure a good working partnership with the land owners and aim to work along side of the needs of the countryside to help our sport survive in the future.
Whilst we are extremely pleased of what we have achieved since starting the company, we are always striving for ways to improve the Track n Trail Experience.
