Youth Enduro

The young riders coming through today haven’t had the luxury of being able to ride all over the common land, forestry and fields; this is where Track n Trail comes into play. We provide a huge variety of venues all over the south for these youngsters to ride in a safe and organised environment. We give them the freedom to ride and a focus for their energy.

We organise youth enduro competitions for young riders aged 10 to 16. We normally organise these races after the adult race and any unsuitable parts of the adult track are taken out. Most courses are shortened to about 3 miles long and keep within a close range of the pits and start area. Our riders experience a vast number of venues, racing through forests tracks, climbing sandy hills , negotiating steep descents, meandering through woodland trails, fast open going with scramble tracks - in fact we use as wide a variety of wild terrain as humanly possible.

We have 4 main classes; 125cc 2 stroke /250cc 4 stroke class, 85cc Big Wheel/ 150 4 stroke class, 85 cc Small Wheel class and 65cc class. (150cc 4 strokes, no matter what wheel size, must participate with the 85cc Big wheel class. This is an ORPA regulation). We leave hard/easy route options in for the kids where it is suitable.

The camaraderie and sportsmanship of the youth riders is extraordinary, they all look out for one another and strong friendships are made that extend beyond the racing.

We were the first organisation to be bold enough to run youth races for 10-16 year olds. We are extremely passionate about giving the youth this wonderful opportunity and are very proud of our successful and popular youth series. We have seen many of our youth riders’ progress to the adult races, dominating their classes.

Minimum Ability

We like the youngsters to be at least 10 years (exceptions can be made, for very experienced younger riders) but they do need to be riding a 65cc bike. All youth riders must be able to handle the bike themselves, including picking the bike up and starting it independently. Motorcross tyres are acceptable at all events.
